Creating a Unique Showroom Within Existing Facilities

WATER STAND Co., Ltd. is a company that rents water servers which are directly connected to the existing tap water. Through their products, the company is able to deliver delicious water to homes and offices for a fixed fee. They also cooperate with local governments to set up water supply spots in various locations. The company is also contributing to the effort to reduce the number of plastic bottles with the “My Bottle” campaign in connection with their water servers.

For WATER STAND’s project with Daishinsha, we were asked to help design and deliver a showroom in an existing commercial facility. Showrooms are an important part of the company’s sales strategy, as they serve as a base for finding and acquiring new customers.

Embodying Healthy Lifestyles

The new Toyonaka showroom is located in Senri-Chuo, Otokarite, a commercial facility directly connected to a private railway station. With the expectation that the showroom will be engage with commuters, as well as families and younger adults, we sought to create a space which would convey the appeal of WATER STAND and its products across segments.

WATER STAND has developed a system in line with modern lifestyles, eliminated the need of required bottles and a fixed pricing system, and also highlights environmental issues around water access, aiming to contribute towards a more sustainable society. This is the value that we designed around. We decided to create a strong natural and healthy image in the showroom in order to give visitors a clear sense of WATER STAND and the lifestyle associated with their products.

For example, in addition to using a warm lighting scheme, we selected a combination of wooden and natural mortar-like interior materials. The aim was to create a friendly atmosphere while conveying the company’s sincere commitment to the environment, thereby lowering a potential hurdle of entering the showroom. In line with the flow of traffic in the facility, eye-catching products were displayed near the entrance, and the main products were placed under the brand logo. In the main product display area, we adopted a wallpaper that could be used as a blackboard, similar to a café, and the staff were able to include hand-written comments on it to increase the sense of familiarity with the products. Additionally, we also created separate comfortable spaces for rest and negotiation, bench area near the sunny window, and various water supply spots throughout the showroom.

Results

Since the opening of the Toyonaka showroom in mid-December, it has been well received and the number of visitors has exceeded expectations. We are currently consulting on the design and construction of several new showrooms.

When designing and constructing showrooms, it is necessary to be creative in expressing the desired message to the target audience in the space, while at the same time clearly designing for the hardware, facility environment, and legal requirements. Daishinsha Delight is able to provide a one-stop service from designing the space and drafting blueprint drawings, through to construction. Furthermore, we are able to consistently implement a variety of support measures, such as digital marketing across the web and SNS platforms, catalog production and other sales promotion tools, as well as event planning.

The above case is a prime example of how we use our strengths to help solve client needs in a comprehensive way, to achieve more effective results with services that expand and extend the client’s vision.
